I’ve been an artist for the majority of my life. I have always had this rule with myself, that when I am on my deathbed at the end of my life, I don’t want any regrets. So in 2006, i decided that I wanted to draw a comic book and participate at a convention in Dallas Texas.
Along the way, I asked for help from those in the industry. I had so many people tell me to quit. That I was never going to break in. No matter how hard I tried, I was ultimately going to fail. I did what any other man with a fire in his belly did and said “F&#k You!” That day I started a comic book studio and named it Dark Phoenix Studio. By summer of 2007, I became a featured artist at these conventions, and built a heck of a reputation.
Through the years and hundreds of conventions later, I have published series. I have collaborated with many artists. I have created a myriad of concepts. A lot happened once Covid arrived. However, I do not believe in accidents. Currently, I am not in the comic book realm anymore. In fact we are transitioning Dark Phoenix Studio into a film studio. We have a few short films being cast and are hopefully seeing some film festivals here in the near future!
